Barcodes is a simple app for saving the barcodes you use every day — loyalty cards, gym passes, library and membership cards — and pulling them up full-screen when you need to scan them.

How do I add a barcode?
Tap the + button, then either scan a barcode with your camera or type
the value in by hand.
The scanner isn't working.
Make sure Barcodes has camera access in Settings → Barcodes → Camera. You can
also add any barcode manually instead of scanning.
How do I show a barcode to a scanner?
Tap a saved barcode to open it full-screen. The screen brightness is boosted
automatically so checkout and gate scanners can read it.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device. See the privacy policy below.

Barcodes is designed to be private. The app stores everything locally on your device and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
None. Barcodes has no account and no sign-in. The barcodes you save — their titles and values — are stored only on your device using Apple's on-device storage. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Barcodes uses your device's camera solely to detect and read barcodes when you choose to scan one. Camera processing happens on your device in real time. Images from the camera are not saved, uploaded, or shared.
Barcodes makes no network requests. There are no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs. Because nothing leaves your device, there is no data for us to access, sell, or disclose.
Your saved barcodes remain under your control. Delete an individual barcode from within the app, or remove all data by deleting the app from your device.
Barcodes does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
